Pay CASH upon arrival. We will be meeting at the ticket desk in the Aquarium at 10:30am sharp! Late arrivals may have to pay regular price. Everyone is responsible for their own transportation. If you need to carpool, please talk to a teacher or fellow classmate to make arrangements. We can't wait to see you there!

<![CDATA[Welcome Back, Students!]]>Mon, 05 Sep 2011 06:20:33 -0800http://mastersconservatory.org/1/post/2011/09/welcome-back-students.htmlIt's time to start another year! We can't wait to kick off our new, exciting classes! We have a few notes for some of our classes, so please review the list below to see if we mention a class you are taking.

For the first month of classes, Beth will be teaching Business Writing and Diane will be teaching Sewing. We will switch back and forth during the year so that we will each be able to contribute to each class our specific areas of knowledge.

For those enrolled in Sewing class, remember to bring your sewing machine!

Remember for Sewing and Cooking there is a $100 materials and ingredient fee associated with the classes and due on the first day of class. For those enrolled in cooking, you may want to bring an apron with you to protect your clothes.

Art has a small materials fee...ask Ms. Marita on Wednesday.

Young Explorers need only to purchase the journals for Apologia's Zoology 1 & 2 for the class. You need only bring your Flying Creatures Journal with you until Christmas.

Elementary Composition students will need to bring Tom Sawyer to class. Please always bring the current book we are reading to class with you. If you have already read Tom Sawyer, you may read Adventures of Huckleberry Finn instead.

Just thought I'd share a few photos from our amazing field trip to Ken Water's sustainable farm in Shelbyville! We toured his high tunnel to see how vegetables can be grown in the winter, tried raw asparagus straight out of the field, saw possibly the largest colony of blue herons in Kentucky, and explored a creek! So much fun, we can't wait to go back! Thank you to the Starmers for sharing their photos!
